Hemroids, sometimes called piles, are enlarged or swollen vein walls of the anus and sometimes the surrounding area
as well. If these enlarged vein walls get bad enough, they will protrude from the anus. You could have just a single vein protruding from your anus or you could also have a whole group of them. Depending on the size or number of these veins, they might cover the entire opening of your anus.
There are two main types of hemroids:
Internal – The protruding veins are located on the inside of your anus where you can’t see them.
External – These are located just outside of your anus.
You very well might have both types at the same time.
The typical hemroids symptoms are itching, pain, and bleeding. These symptoms can become quite painful and irritating, causing you to miss work, school, etc. People with these symptoms will become quite irritable and frustrated because the symptoms just won’t go away and stay away.
The typical creams, gels and suppositories that many people use only provide temporary relief at best. You have to keep applying them over and aver again to get any kind of relief.
